Peacebuilding

EPDO envisions positive and sustainable peace for all Afghans’ future, and peacebuilding is a fundamental approach to reach that goal. We advocate for increased citizen participation in the conflict transformation process through socioeconomic strategies, political frameworks, security, reconciliation, and justice efforts. Our organization also focuses on overcoming the challenges of sustainable peace mainly by prioritizing bottom-up approaches, creating safe spaces for civil society organizations, and safeguarding citizens’ political will.

We also emphasize youth inclusion in our peacebuilding work such as social cohesion activities, conflict prevention, resolution, and mediation training as they are significant factors in the sustainability of peace.
